Meet Jesse Harper, a guitarist who has turned the music world on its head with his astounding skills, achieved not through high-end equipment but sheer dedication and practice. He serves as an example for anyone of modest means with a drive to play the guitar using the cheapest guitar equipment in the world. While most guitarists invest in premium instruments and expensive gear, Jesse stands out by using the cheapest guitar equipment available. His journey is a testament to the idea that true mastery comes from relentless practice and training, not the tools at one’s disposal.
Jesse’s journey began with a battered old guitar he found at a flea market for just a few dollars. Instead of being discouraged by its condition, he saw it as a challenge. He spent countless hours practicing, honing his skills until he could make even the most modest instrument sing. His daily routine included rigorous finger exercises, scale practices, and learning complex pieces by ear.
He would often practice for up to eight hours a day, refining his technique and developing an intimate understanding of his instrument. Jesse also sought out every opportunity to learn from others, attending free workshops and jamming with local musicians whenever possible. This level of dedication is what propelled Jesse to a professional level, showcasing that consistent practice can overcome any limitations imposed by equipment.
Today, Jesse’s performances are a marvel to watch. His fingers dance across the fretboard with precision and grace, producing sounds that rival those made by much more expensive setups. He has played in various venues, from small coffee shops to larger music festivals, always leaving audiences in awe.
His story inspires countless aspiring musicians, proving that passion, hard work, and perseverance can triumph over financial constraints. Jesse’s success is a powerful reminder that while quality equipment can enhance a musician’s experience, it is ultimately their skill, dedication, and love for the craft that defines their greatness. Through his journey, Jesse has shown that the heart of music lies not in the price tag of the equipment but in the soul of the musician.
I hope this motivates everyone to pursue their dreams no matter the current circumstances. Yo u can still use the cheapest guitar equipment in the world to persue you dreams.

Lol except for the 750 dollar microphone
Except a microphone costs the same as a Mexican Fender or some epiphones. Dont know what the amp is, but the speaker ought to be good enough as well.
@@itaysevenfoldhamri the mic isn’t going to make a bad sound, sound good. It’s just to capture an accurate representation of the sound coming from the amp
@@geo_beans but youre forgetting the fact the microphone also colors the tone. Its equally as important as every other piece of gear in the chain, besides the player. Plus we dont know if he did any studio magic processing to make it sound better, which would be way harder with a shitty mic.
I was most impressed that you found strings for $2
Yeah… I think the cheapest strings I’ve ever put on my guitars were $5 for a set, and even as broke as I am I don’t intend on going back to those.

You need a good speaker/amp
I’ve owned Roland 40,30 and Microcube
Microcube got em beat
Either cheap or not, some amps are just dogs. ( they were all Rolands. But all the planets aligned with the Microcube).
“ the tone is in the hands” —evh. Well, I believe that’s 49% true
nope. You need the right tools for the right job. You can’t make shoegaze without the right pedals. Even in this example they added reverb in post and used a high end microphone. It just is what it is. There’s no big mythological aphorism that sums it all up in 2 sentences. life is more complicated than that.
@@cycomiles4225tone is in the EQ
I just had my first practice guitar set for about $100, it includes guitar, 15w amp, 2m cable, strings, bag capo, tuner, allen wrench, extra strings, strap and other freebies, and it sound fairly good tbh even my friends say it’s fine enough to be played publicly.
There’s no shame in affordable gear, the pros just use expensive stuff because they can (also because they are paid to 😂)
try squier classic vibe series (NOT the affinity/bullet series). CV series are great and has almost that exact sound of the original fender strat. Just look it up, every musician agrees with that

not sneaky but ok
Not to mention the processing and fx
yeah but unless there’s some sort of PA processing going on that’s just so we can hear the original tone with more clarity
And $300 music software
Honestly it’s all about mic placement doesn’t matter strong guitar pickups amp etc once you find that spot every amp and guitar sounds good and you can move it around and make expensive guitars sound cheap it’s impossible to get a real sound of guitar in a video it’s all set up
